Olivia had her last day of school yesterday. They had class at the fairgrounds park. They played games, and had snacks. Olivia enjoyed it. Deacon got to go too. The above picture is of Danielle, Lindsy, and Olivia at their preschool program. Each class had a certain color shirt. Lindsy and Danielle are in the 3 day a week class, while Olivia was the 2 day a week. Their little program was pretty cute.
So Deacon has a new found independence of getting things out of the fridge himself. He now knows how to open juice and milk and tries to pour into his cup. (I just had to shampoo my carpet because there was about a gallon of juice where he missed his cup, then had it overflow). Anyway, the other night he got the milk out and decided he didn't need a cup, he just got a straw and was drinking right from the carton. He also LOVES salad dressing apparently. Jim went upstairs last night and came down to find he had gotten my french out of the fridge, gotten a bowl, and filled it up. He somehow didn't drop a drip on the floor or table, and was sitting in his chair licking the bowl. When Jim poured it back into the bottle it was pure torture for him, he screamed and cried. Today he tried to do it again, but Jim caught him before he got to pour.
I made our reservations for Chicago. We are going on Monday and coming home Tuesday. Short trip, but we should get about everything done. Probably be a lot of walking. Hopefully the kids are good and enjoy it.
Friday Mel and I are taking the kids to McDonalds in Dyersville and then heading to Cascade to play at their city park. I hear their park is much nicer than this town's. Monticello sucks as far as parks are concerned. Panther Park is nice and all, but it's at a school so you can't go when school is in session.
Well off to take a nap before heading to work!
